Wanted to congratulate Fitness Tech athlete Andres Salas for his muay thai victory Saturday night. Andres won by a 2nd rd TKO when his opponent could not make it out for the 3rd round. This victory extends his unbeaten streak to 6-0 AND qualifies him to fight in Thailand next month. The TFT crew is very proud of Andres for his hard work and dedication to the sport! It'll be a great experience to fight in Thailand, but equally important, to LEARN from a place where muay thai all started!!
I work with Andres 2-3 times per week over-seeing his strength and conditioning, so I'm only a small piece of the big picture. Much of his success has to go to his muay thai coaches, Mark Tabuso and Shingu Fighter (his coaches from Stockton). They've been great helping Andres prepare for battle and giving him the discipline he needs to be successful.
Only 20 years old, Andres hasn't even tapped his full potential yet!! With continued hard work and experience, the sky's the limit! Here's the full fight:
