I'm a big fan of running hills to improve conditioning and mental toughness. I also wanted to add stairs to the list as well. This weekend the TFT crew got in a tough conditioning session on some steep stairs I happened to stumble upon while driving around looking for another playground to workout at.
Running stairs has been around forever and has kind of been "forgotten" by many people (including me!!). I remember running stairs in high school for track and that got me in unbelievable condition. It burns a ton of calories and really kills the legs!! Again, running stairs is tough, hard work but produces results! We were all sore (in a good way!) from the workout in which we carried medicine balls, wore a weight vest, or just used our body weight. We finished up with some bear crawls up the bleachers which works on conditioning as well as agility.
To achieve success, you need to keep pushing forward, one step at a time!!
